Biography

A life long Bere Alston resident, John is a highly respected member of the community and although retired, is a Referee's Assessor for Devon FA. spending a lot of his time keeping a watchful eye on the young up and coming referees at the Plymouth Argyle Academy.

John is a former Bere Alston player having transferred to the club from the old South Western League with wadebridge Town.

Having been the club's President from 1997 to the end of the 2011 / 2012 season, John has unfortunately had to give up the position due to his refereeing work with the Football Association.

The Committee made the swift decision to honour John and make him a Life President of the Club.
