Mark is a Berey man through and through and has been at the club right back to the days of the Bere Valley Tigers Youth Team.
His best position isarguably in the holding midfield role where he can use his vision and game awareness to break up the play and get the team on the attack with his range of passing, although he is also equally adept as a sweeper.
Not the quickest and generally a lazy trainer, Mark is definately one of those who come into the catagory of 'the first 10 yards is in their head.
During the 2010/11 season Mark decided to go into semi retirement and was quickly appointed as Assistant Manager playing only when required.
It is hoped he will continue in a similar role this coming season, but it's also noted that Mark is also a very useful goalkeeper when the need arises.
